Priti Patel 
Lead Strategist

Priti brings 20 years of experience shaping public spaces, including parks, plazas, waterfronts, streets, and neighborhood corridors, with a strategic eye toward what makes them work long-term. From ideation to implementation, she translates community-driven visions into action plans and designs built for lasting impact. Her approach is grounded in the research of how public spaces and cities evolve around the world; applying lessons learned to the unique context of each project, and often testing bold ideas through creative implementation experiments developed with local partners.

With a background in Landscape Architecture, and Environmental Planning and Design, Priti's work is rooted in the sustainable design of the public realm and the economic, cultural, ecological, and social growth of healthy communities. She is guided by the belief that communities thrive when people who live there feel connected and help shape and care for them. Prior to joining Hive Public Space, Priti led action planning trainings and creative workshops for cities across the U.S., and oversaw a diverse portfolio of projects as a Senior Project Manager at Project for Public Spaces, a planning and design nonprofit that creates community-powered public spaces around the world.
