Blooming Futures aims to highlight Strauss Street as a community space, reflecting the playful spirit of youth and building on a school-community relationship that inspires

and fosters a sense of belonging for all.

In Spring 2025, In collaboration with the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) and Riverdale Avenue Community School (RACS),  Hive Public Space invited the RACS community and its neighbors to take part in ideation and design sessions to co-create fence art along Strauss Street.

 

Their input evolved into a concept of colorful flowers, bees, and butterflies gliding along a whimsical path.
