Hive Public Space partnered with the NYC Department of Transportation to temporarily transform streets across New York City through the Bike the Block series — a citywide initiative that reimagines Open Streets as vibrant, educational, and playful public spaces.

Each event invites New Yorkers to engage with cycling culture in a fun and accessible way — from learning bike safety tips and brushing up on bike laws to joining group rides and getting free bike tune-ups.

Hive Public Space brought an extra layer of color and creativity to each block, designing playful pop-up experiences that engage participants of all ages and abilities.
